After leaving active duty in the Army, I decided to attend law school. I had a list of areas of law I did not want to practice (i.e., family law, contracts, personal injury, criminal law). It seemed like eliminating those left me a very short list of legal practice areas to choose from. A mentor suggested that I pursue a legal practice which incorporated both my undergraduate education (biology and aquatic ecology) and my love of the outdoors – and with determination and dedication, a water resource practice was born!
My wife, Susan, and I enjoy the outdoors and take advantage of Minnesota’s woods and waters whenever we are able. On weekends you might find us hiking, biking, fishing, cross country skiing, camping or paddling in our home-made cedar strip canoe.
