Areas of Practice

Benjamin Bohnsack

Attorney

I really like spending time outside. I live on an acreage property southeast of Cold Spring with my wife and 3 daughters. I like doing the work it takes to maintain the yard, woods and trails, and am always looking for an excuse to take my tractor out of the shed and do something with it. I consider myself an amateur wildlife manager, doing what I can to promote good habitat for all of the critters running around in the woods.

I plant my own food plots for deer and turkeys, and recently added a small plot of wildflowers for pollinators. I spend a lot of time hunting and fishing, and have enjoyed the process of introducing my daughters to those activities. I also enjoy canoeing and have paddled over 1,000 miles in the Canadian half of the Boundary Waters.

Engaging in all of these outdoor activities is a nice contrast from the “office work” lawyers necessarily do. While my litigation practice includes numerous areas beyond real estate, I find that having an appreciation for the outdoors, the land, and the activities that go with it help me understand the importance of the issues my clients encounter.
